A New Job

My 6 month contract ended at my place of work last week and because I am on a work and holiday visa that means I'd worked for the company for as long as I could.  Which meant it was time to join the job hunt once again.

As some of your might remember from blog ramblings of yore my previous job search in Australia lasted longer than I had hoped for and by the time I landed a job - I had applied for about 100 jobs.

This time I've hit a lucky streak and with exactly 7 business days of unemployment I have been offered another role that starts on Monday.  It's an inbound customer service role and I'm told it is a fun company to work for.

Cheers everyone. I think I might just go buy a lotto ticket!

Congratulations! Are you also re-applying for school, or waiting?

Hey! I have enjoyed reading your blogs. I am an American currently living in South Korea about to depart for the University of Sydney to start my graduate program. You make me feel a lot better about coming over. I am really nervous about finding work and a place to live.

Hey! What's the name of the company you're working for now? I would like to do something similar, because that's what I do here in the U.S.
